Battery Management System

THE BPU DIFFERENCE – AVAILABLE ENERGY

Compares 4-Battery System w/separator to DClimate BPU at 60amp draw.
DClimate BPU System delivers 70% more energy, to power A/C & hotel loads, without compromising battery life or tractor starting capability.

BATTERY POWER –UNIT SYSTEM

The DClimate patented BPU system is specifically engineered to maximize HVAC & runtime performance throughout the life cycle of the batteries.

This prevents deep discharge, enables rapid recharging, and minimizes idle. This system maintains a healthy environment for the batteries and supports a minimum 4yr battery life.

Users of competing electric HVAC systems, with battery separators, experience shorter runtimes and rapid runtime degradation over time.
  • Avoid Battery Replacement Cost
  • Avoid Performance Degradation
  • Maximize Runtime, Minimize Idle %

THE BPU DIFFERENCE – BATTERY LIFE

Battery manufacturers show idealized battery life in literature, however, many factors combine to affect the real life:

1. Battery hardware: Chemistry, Physical Design, Manufacturer Quality
2. Use: battery charge/discharge, battery recharge profile, depth of discharge
3.Environmental: ambient and application temperature, battery aging life

Long Life with Minor Performance Degradation

DClimate and BPU controls for the following conditions:

1. Battery qaulity

2. Minimum charge current

3. Charge balance

Compares 4-Battery System w/separator to DClimate BPU at 60amp draw.

Short Life with Severe Performance Degradation

BATTERY LIFE – APPLICATION BACKED BY WARRANTY

Based on extensive joint testing we have determined that the system design dictates that the batteries will never discharge more than 60%, and on average no more than 50% on a typical daily cycle.

This, coupled with the rapid recharge characteristics of the DClimate system, mean the battery application falls within the design specifications for 4-year minimum life expectancy. As a result, the DClimate warranty will be based solely on months of service.

THE BPU DIFFERENCE – BATTERY CURRENT SHARING

  • BPU inserts a calibrated resistance in series with the battery, improving the current balance.
  • BPU uses low resistance direct path hookup to reduce pack to pack imbalance.
  • Charge transfer takes cycle life away from each battery
  • Imbalanced discharge causes lower energy output
  • BPU 320 amp 40SI alternator combined with low resistance direct path hook-up facilitates rapid charging, reducing likelihood of premature interruption
  • CBPU patented design ensures that pack balance is maintained, delivering industry leading 4year application life guarantee, backed by EnerSys warranty.

BATTERY POWER UNIT SYSTEM

All DClimate’s patented BPU system configurations are specifically engineered to maximize HVAC and runtime performance throughout the life cycle of the batteries.

Prevents deep discharge and enables rapid recharging, minimizing idle and maintaining a healthy environment for the batteries; supporting a minimum 4yr life.

Users of competitive electric HVAC systems, with battery separators, not only experience shorter runtimes when newly installed, BUT, will also see rapid runtime degradation over time.
