DClimate is based in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Founded in 2016, the leadership team, steeped in industry experience, set out to address the shortcomings of existing diesel and electric auxiliary power unit solutions. The result was DClimate’s range of Hybrid Auxiliary Power Unit solutions. DClimate’s Hybrid architecture combines high efficiency HVAC modules with a patented battery management and rapid recharge system.
This unique system design enables continuous, uninterrupted auxiliary power unit availability with the lowest operational cost of any APU technology on the market. The DClimate system delivers a high quality driver experience, no matter how severe the conditions, and does so while delivering the lowest total cost of ownership and full 50 state emissions compliance.

MARTIN DUFFY
From his roots as an industrial designer Martin has added extensive leadership experience in many areas. He has served in senior roles in sales, engineering and GM for Thermo King, most recently leading TK’s NA business. He also played an integral role in the development, launch and growth of TK’s APU business. Prior to joining TK, he held senior roles in engineering, new product development and manufacturing for Hussmann Corporation. Martin has received multiple patents awards.
BRUCE HUDSON
During his 37-year career at Heartland Express (retired 2019) Bruce dedicated himself to improving efficiency, reducing cost and enhancing the driver’s quality of life. While VP of Maintenance, in 2011 he began a journey to improve electrical systems in Class 8 tractors and developed a, now patented, electrical charging system. To fully leverage the system, he began a search for an APU partner; his frustration with the available options on the market ultimately led to the birth of DClimate Inc, with Bruce a founding member.
ROBERT LATTIN
His passion for design excellence and continual improvement served Robert well during his 19 year Thermo King career. His wide ranging engineering experience at TK extends from diesel engine applications and emissions compliance through to a diverse range of R&D activities including fuel cells, lithium ion batteries and advanced refrigeration systems. A founding member, his knowledge of transport applications is invaluable to the DClimate team. Robert has been granted 8 patents.
SESHA MADIREDDI
With a MS in mechanical engineering and a PhD in magnetic refrigeration he has spent his career dedicated to innovation and new technology development. His experience in Hussmann, GE Appliance & Tecumseh laid a strong foundation for his decision to start NuturEnergy, a business dedicated to rapid technology innovation & product development. The unmet needs identified by Bruce were the perfect challenge for NuturEnergy and the resulting product became the bedrock for the creation of DClimate.
